The dinner will be held at
7.00pm on Thursday 21st
October, in the Undercroft Cafe, St. Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol
at a cost of £55.00 per person. We have an
excellent and high standard menu, which can be viewed by clicking on
the link below. The price includes wine & port but soft drinks may be
substituted for this. We are hoping that this is going to more than
just a meal and we have a few things up our sleeves that are still be to
confirmed.
Our guest speaker is Cllr. Gabriel Batt, who has a
history of making excellent Battle of Trafalgar speeches. We will
also be having a very distinct piece of regalia from HQ on show and
our Secretary Jonathan Price, will be leading the sea shanties after
dinner.
We are trying to encourage visitors to stay in
Bristol for a few days and have arranged a lunch time trip on ‘The
Matthew’ on 22nd October. We will have the opportunity to have a
tour around St. Mary Redcliffe Church.
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a
specially engraved RSSG memento of their visit to Bristol via our
famous ‘Bristol Blue Glass’. Items available vary from paper weight
(£20), goblet (£28), ships decanter (£120). These really are
beautiful items, however will only be made to order given to me. (dennisstinchombe@btconnect.com).
We would like to make this an event to remember.
Seats limited to 65, and are available on a first come first served
basis so please send your booking form in with a cheque made payable
to The City & County of Bristol, Royal Society of St. George.
I look forward to seeing you there, please feel
free to contact me for further details, best wishes,
