An appeal from Vice President & Past Chairman, Clifford Trowse, following the death in July of Mrs Joy Bone, the campaigner for a service women's war memorial
We are looking for a volunteer(s) who would be willing to take over and lead Joy Bone's campaign to establish a fitting memorial for the women who served in WW1 and WW2. All of Joy’s papers have been kindly been delivered to us at the office, including all her research, newspaper cuttings and correspondence. It would be heart-breaking if Joy’s campaign were to end here. The office will be more than happy to give as much support as possible to assist in achieving Joy’s ambition of having a memorial erected. I found it so hard to believe, that in this day and age, there isn’t a fitting monument in London to commemorate all the service women.
Please help us to fulfil Joy’s dream and pay tribute to all the Service ladies.
Please contact us at the office on 020 3225 5011 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
